Mrs Dicks is responsible for the development and monitoring of the academic aspects of school. These include providing a challenging and engaging curriculum, a range of assessment strategies, outstanding teaching provision and a constructive feedback structure for pupils and parents. She also leads our ever-expanding team of Forest School trained staff to ensure that outdoor learning remains a crucial part of school life.
Mrs Clifton has responsibility for safeguarding at the prep school. This area is of utmost importance across the school and the role involves liaising with pupils, staff, parents and external agencies in order that all children in our care remain safe. In addition to this, Mrs Clifton also leads our future schools programme, which includes entrance procedures and preparation at Year 5 and 6, and also manages to the organisation of events and the day to day requirements of the school.
Miss Leggate oversees the pastoral care and personal development in the school. This encompasses the curriculum element of PHSE (Personal, Health, Social, Economic education), the behaviour, sanctions and rewards system in the school and also the overall wellbeing of pupils and staff. Included in this are areas such as our House system where children are vertically integrated across year groups into House teams for events and competitions, mindfulness and wellbeing assemblies and sessions, after school activities and the school council.
Miss Bird oversees the sport provision across the prep school and ensures that we have a broad range of opportunities for all children. This includes the delivery of physical education lessons (PE) and the organisation of coaching and fixtures in our core games sports of rugby, hockey, netball and cricket, as well additional sports such as athletics, swimming and cross country.
Miss Palmer is part of our Reception teaching team but also oversees our EYFS provision. In order to do this, she works alongside both the Reception team and the Nursery staff, as well as the Senior Management Team, to coordinate the provision from age 2 to 5 and to provide an engaging, safe, happy and nurturing environment for all children from the outset of their education.
Mrs Smith is our lead for all aspects of learning support in the school. This means that she oversees and delivers the strategy for providing for children with additional learning needs.
