Mrs Dunn, Head of Careers, provides an update on our careers service, for which we have been awarded the Investor in Careers Award, given only to those schools who provide the very best careers advice:
Dear Parents
I hope you will find the Outline Careers Programmes for Years 11, 12 and 13 useful. You will see that pupils in these three years receive one timetabled session per week. These are supplemented by lectures, seminars and outside vistors whenever possible. The whole progamme is supported by their tutors as well as Housestaff.
Mrs Phillips, as the Head of the Sixth Form, runs a Life Skills and Lecture programme for the Sixth Form, which often complements the Careers programme. She and I liaise closely.
Many careers sessions have separate information sheets, and I will make these accessible on this website whenever possible.
Years 7-10 have a more limited careers input and I hope to have their outline programme available on this website soon.
