'Your Future In Europe' by Emily Clare, Y13.

During the Spring Term, a group of sixth formers visited Paris for four days on an educational visit. The theme of the trip was 'Your Future in Europe' and the girls attended a conference of the same name, held at the Palais de Congres.

The conference included speakers such as Shami Chakrabarti: The 'Director of Liberty', Joe McEwan - the (very entertaining!) Community Manager of Innocent Smoothies and Tim Harford - the 'Undercover Economist'. The girls had a superb time, a particular highlight participating in a lively debate at the close of the Conference.

Other than the academic focus, the girls also enjoyed exploring the cultural side of Paris. Visits included the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle and numerous French cafés and pâtisseries! A favourite activity was an afternoon spent travelling down the beautiful Siene, followed by a night viewing of the illuminated Eiffel Tower.

Every girl agreed that it had been a wonderful trip, both academically and culturally!
