WESTONBIRT SCHOOL WELCOMES NEW CHAPLAIN
Westonbirt School has recently welcomed a new member to the community, Reverend Caroline O’Neill.
On Wednesday, 28th September, during a special service in the School’s Chapel, The Bishop of Gloucester licensed Reverend Caroline as the new Chaplain of Westonbirt School.
The service was attended by pupils, staff and governors, with the school’s Chamber Choir filling the aisles with angelic harmonies, including Michael Neaum’s ‘Be still and know I am with you’.
As well as a full-time Chaplain, Westonbirt School is fortunate enough to have a beautiful school Chapel in the grounds. The Christian ethos of the school is valued and ever present; girls enjoy traditional Vespers and Confirmation in the Chapel, with week-day and Sunday services.
Commenting on the service, Headmistress Mary Henderson said: “Today has been a very special day for Westonbirt School. The spiritual dimension of Westonbirt is the ‘cement’ that binds us all together, and we welcome Reverend Caroline to Westonbirt with open arms”.
