Girls use drama therapy to help children

During the summer term, 12 pupils, along with Mrs Crosbee (Head of Drama) spent a day at Hop, Skip and Jump! - a local day care centre for children with special needs.

The visit was part of Westonbirt School’s enrichment week and focused on drama therapy.  Pupils spent the day playing and learning with the children and were able to experience the centre’s very own ‘Sensory Room’, which was filled with different materials to touch and see.

Year 10 pupil Isabel Amison felt very moved by the visit to the centre, and is now hoping to learn sign language: “I found the whole experience inspiring, I felt good knowing that I had helped others and had made them happy.  I am very grateful to Hop, Skip and Jump! and I hope to visit the children again very soon.”
