EXCELLENT GCSE RESULTS

The staff and pupils of Westonbirt School are today celebrating excellent GCSE results, with 50% of their exams receiving A* or A grades.

Over three-quarters (78%) of Westonbirt’s GCSEs were graded A*-B, and 95% of the exams were graded A*-C, the equivalent of the old O Level. 98% of girls gained at least 5 A*-C grades each and an average of 9 GCSE passess and there was a 100% pass rate.

“We are very proud of all of our GCSE girls,” says Mrs Mary Henderson, Headmistress. “We are very much looking to forward to welcoming the girls back next week to begin their A Level studies, when we will have our largest ever Year 12 intake, with many new girls joining specifically for the advantages offered by our Sixth Form.”
