4-MALITY at Westonbirt School

Westonbirt School welcomed world-renowned percussion quartet 4-MALITY on Friday, 4th February, to perform at the school’s termly musical concert.

The group was formed by Adrian Spillett, the first percussionist to win the prestigious BBC Young Musicians’ Competition, and they have since travelled the globe performing at many prominent venues and festivals.

4-MALITY performed six contrasting pieces, capturing the audience’s undivided attention time and time again. The performance was visually stunning and musically thrilling, with the artists commanding an incredible battery of drums, gongs, cymbals and tuned percussion.

After the performance, audience members (including Westonbirt pupils and pupils from our preparatory school Rose Hill Westonbirt) were invited onstage with the group to ask questions and even play a few instruments! It was a great opportunity, especially for pupils taking GCSE and A-Level Music, who were able to seek professional advice for a musical career.

Pupils from Westonbirt and Rose Hill Westonbirt Schools will present their forthcoming musical theatre production on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th March at 7:30pm. Please click here for more information.
