Let it snow!

During the Christmas break, Westonbirt and Rose Hill Westonbirt pupils escaped to Italy for their annual ski trip.

Year 10, 11 and 13 students, along with Mrs Barlow, Mr Gluning and Miss Calvert, spent time in the beautiful Aosta Valley. Mrs Gill, Mrs Clifton and Mr Sproule accompanied pupils from Rose Hill Westonbirt, together with girls from Year 6, 7, 8 and 9 at Westonbirt School to the small Italian resort of Claviere. Whilst having tremendous fun, everybody’s skiing ability increased considerably. More experienced skiers from the lower school even had the opportunity to spend a day on the ‘Milky Way’, skiing over mountains to Montgenèvre in France. Après Ski entertainment included karaoke, bowling, talent competitions, film night, discos and the consumption of lots of pasta and pizza!

All girls were praised by the resort staff, ski instructors and coach drivers for their impeccable and considerate behaviour.  The skiing, excellent snow and warm Italian Hospitality combined to make a delightful and memorable ski trip for all.
