YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS SNAP UP A PRIZE

We are delighted that our Year 12 group of young entrepreneurs have walked away with the prize for Best Manufactured Product at the Young Enterprise South West Trade Exhibition held in Cheltenham recently.

With their company, Snappy Sticks, the group have, over the past year, designed, manufactured and sold a range of storage kits, featuring a family picnic set, an oriental set and a chidren's recipe kit.  Each set is based on a neat roll-up system.

Young Enterprise is a scheme where pupils aged between 15 and 19 are encouraged to form a company which must then run for a year.  They need to appoint a board of directors and raise capital for their project, then produce and sell their product. The scheme gives the pupils a real flavour of the world of business.
