EXAMS RUN SMOOTHLY DESPITE SNOW

Public and school exams continued without a hitch at Westonbirt this week, despite nationwide concern that the snowy weather would cause havoc with pupils' studies.

We helped girls plan their safe arrival around the forecast snowfalls and made provision for daygirls to board over the weekend if necessary to ensure that they did not miss the start of the A Level modules and other exams that were due to begin this week.  Even the Examinations Officer, Mrs Briony Holland, became a temporary boarder, to ensure that she would be on site ready to distribute the exam papers at the appointed times.We are pleased to report that our efforts paid off.

"Everyone who should have been here was here by the time the exams started, and everything has run smoothly," reports Mrs Holland, pictured here in the snowy grounds of Westonbirt School.
