WE WALKED TO HELP HOPE FOR TOMORROW

Christine Mills of Tetbury cancer charity Hope for Tomorrow visited school this morning to collect a cheque for over £2,000, raised when we took part in their sponsored walk at the National Arboretum earlier this term.

Pictured with Christine are Year 7's Eleanor and Trudi, whom Christine presented with certificates for being two of the top fundraisers in the school.  14 girls in Years 11 and 13 were also given certificates for acting as event marshalls and organisers.

Westonbirt School has a long association with Hope for Tomorrow which offers support for those with cancer and their dependants, bringing chemotherapy to them at home via new mobile units.  For more information about Hope for Tomorrow, please click here.

It has just been announced that Hope for Tomorrow will also be one of the beneficiaries of the 2010 Westonbirt Autumn Fair, sharing the proceeds with Help for Heroes. The Westonbirt Autumn Fair, held at Westonbirt School during the Autumn half term break, is one of Gloucestershire's leading craft fairs, having raised £31,000 in 2009 for the British Red Cross.  for  more information about the Westonbirt Autumn Fair, please click here.
