SPRING TERM SPORTS NEWS

The new term has bought renewed enthusiasm for sports at Westonbirt School, with many girls competing at county level.

HEAD GROUNDSMAN CALLS IT A DAY AFTER 27 YEARS!

Westonbirt School and Rose Hill Westonbirt School bid a fond farewell to its Head Groundsman Bob Frayling last week after an incredible 27 years of service to the school!

ONLY 'THE WRITE STUFF' FOR WESTONBIRT GIRLS

Nationwide letter writing competition, The Write Stuff, took place in 2011 with school catering company Chartwells and the Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival.  Pupils were invited to celebrate the neglected art of letter writing and pen a piece about an aspect of food that inspires them.

MUSICAL EXCELLENCE RECOGNISED AT WESTONBIRT SCHOOL

Westonbirt School is delighted to have been shortlisted for the prestigious 2011 Education Business Awards’ School Music Award.  The awards, now in their sixth year and sponsored by Eteach, celebrate educational establishments that ‘demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of musical learning through the provision of a first class teaching environment’.

EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME FOR WESTONBIRT SCHOOL PUPILS!

 

Nine girls from Westonbirt School, aged 15-18, embarked on a lifetime adventure to Southern Peru on a World Challenge Expedition in July.  The school’s ‘World Challenge Team’ raised money for the trip through a series of fundraising activities, including a ‘Harry Potter Day’ and a Westonbirt Lecture with mountaineer Kenton Cool.
