Westonbirt is a very happy British girls' school where you will quickly feel at home whether you are a boarder or a day girl. We have an excellent team of pastoral care staff to make sure you are happy and healthy at all times.
Experienced Housestaff
Housemistresses and Assistant Housemistresses will look after all your needs away from the classroom. If you are worried about something, you can talk to them and they will help you. They are all really experienced in dealing with the needs of girls of your age and you will find them very sympathetic.
A Friendly Chaplain
You will see our School Chaplain at Church services in the School Chapel and in school every day. The Chaplain will also teach you RS, and is another person you can talk to in confidence. Although the Chaplain is a Church of England vicar (Westonbirt is a Church of England Foundation and is a Christian school), the Chaplian won’t preach at you or be judgemental, but will just help you work through any problems in a kind and caring way. The Chaplain is also great fun!
Keeping You Healthy
Our School Doctor visits us regularly and we have a nurse in residence day and night. You can make an appointment to see the nurse on your own at set times and she will refer you to the doctor if need be. The doctor and nurses are kind and caring people who are used to dealing with the health needs of girls of your age so you should not hesitate to tell them about any health worries.
School Food
We have experienced resident chefs who prepare all our food on site. For the most part staff and girls eat together and mealtimes are very sociable. The menu is published at the beginning of each week so that you can see what you have to look forward to!
Special Dietary Requirements
If you have any special dietary requirements such as allergies or diabetes or preferences such as being vegetarian, tell your Housemistress at the start of term and she will arrange for you to have suitable alternatives as appropriate.
