Drama

Quite apart from Drama and Theatre Studies curriculum choices, there are many opportunities for you to develop your dramatic talents. There are two major school productions, the Junior Play in the Summer Term and the Senior Play in the Autumn Term.
There is a grand Drama Gala, a showcase for all dramatic talents, in the Spring. Even if you’re not keen on acting, you might enjoy working behind the scenes – the girls do all the lighting, sound effects, stage management and help with set design and construction too. Besides the plays, there are Inter-House drama competitions and private coaching for those who wish to prepare for English Speaking Board quailfications and Bath Festival entries. And if what you like best is being in the audience, then join our frequent theatre trips to theatres such as the Bristol Old Vic, Bath Theatre Royal and London West End venues.
