Excellent Exam Results
and Value Added Rankings

Our growing reputation as an academically strong school has been fostered by a steady improvement in our exam results. Each year group’s results depend on the individuals within the class, but the overall trend is very much on the up!

Our 2011 examination results were very impressive; at A level pass rate 42% were graded A* and A, 87% were graded A* to C and 20% of girls achieved 3 or more A grades. Former Head Girl Ashley White received an outstanding 4 A*s and goes on to read Politics, Philosophy and Economics at St John's College, Oxford.  The 2011 GCSE results were also excellent, with 61% of girls achieving A* or A grades. Pupils excelled in Chemistry, Physics, Music and Spanish with 100% gaining A* and A grades. 100% A* - B grades were also awarded in Biology, Latin, PE and Textiles.

For a school that is expressly NOT an academic hothouse with a very high standard of entry, this is a remarkable result, and we are confident that whatever your natural ability, you will achieve the best results that are possible for you.  We also do well in national league tables for public examinations for a school of our description.

Studies of “value added” ratings from the age that girls join us to the age that they leave suggest that we are in the top 5% of schools nationally in this respect.
