TIME TO CELEBRATE - Sunday 20th June 2010
The Westonbirt Association was establsihed two years after the school (once it had some leaving pupils to recruit) and this year the Association will celebrate its 80th Anniversary (not to be confused with the 80th Anniversary of the School whihc took place in 2008). The Executive Committee of the Association have arranged a Garden Party as a way of celebrating this milestone and all members of the Association are invited to attend. Those members who remain in contact with their Section should have received an invitation, but if you have not received yours please email Charlotte Rogers-Jones who will forward a message to the Honorary Secretary of the Association.
The Garden party will take place on Sunday 20th June in the school grounds. The day will include picnic lunches, tours of the school and gardens, a tree planting ceremony and finish off with a 'scratch choir' performance from a group of former pupils themselves, in memory of Miss Mildred Naylor, former Director of Music who died in 2008.
Reunion Day The annual reunion of the Association will take place on Saturday 2nd October 2010 in Westonbirt School. All members of the Association are invited to attend to enjoy a day with old friends. Notification of the Annual General Meeting will be made nearer the time.
