How to arrange a visit
You will be very welcome to come to visit Westonbirt School during term time for one or more of the occasions listed below.  All of these will help you get to know the school better - and will enable us to get you know you too.

Open Day
We hold two Open Days each academic year. The next Open Day will be on Saturday 12th May 2012. These are informal events and all girls who are considering coming to school here are welcome to attend with their families. Open Days include a tour of the school guided by a current pupil, so it is a great opportunity for you to hear at first hand what it is like to be at school here. You will also have the chance to chat informally over coffee with staff at the end of your tour.

Meetings with the Headmistress
Open Days offer only a limited opportunity for you to talk to the Headmistress, so you are also welcome to arrange a private appointment with her on any weekday except Wednesdays and on most Saturday mornings during termtime. One of our Housestaff will take you on a guided tour of the school either before or after your meeting. These appointments are in great demand, so please try to give as much advance notice as possible to ensure we can fit you in!

Taster Days
Taster Days are held each autumn term for girls who are registered to join our Year 7 class the following year (or who will be joining the same class at Year 8 or 9 in subsequent years). The girls have sample lessons in core subjects, a tour of the school led by current Year 7s, and other fun activities such as Art and Music. These help acclimatise the girls to their future school and enables them to start making new friends among their peer group before they join. These days are very popular and advance booking is essential!

Trial Days with Sleepovers
Registered girls are welcome to spend a trial day and optional trial night in school. It also enables girls joining in Year 8 or above to meet their future peers. The Registrar will arrange a sleepover exclusively for your daughter on a date to suit you.

Open invitations to plays, concerts and special occasions
All families who are thinking of sending their daughters to Westonbirt are warmly invited to attend our school plays, concerts, and social occasions at any time, to help them get to know a wide circle of friends within the School and to start to feel a real part of our wonderful community. We have a busy Friends of Westonbirt School group run by parents and they welcome new members and guests at all times. As you will soon discover, Westonbirt is a very sociable place!
